(The deal allows Jay-Z to “advise on the selection of artists for big NFL appearances like the Super Bowl,” as well as work with the league on a social justice component, but it came amid Colin Kaepernick, who was in the Mainly by team owners for peaceful protests against racism and NBA star LeBron James, who called what he called the NFL’s “slave mentality”.

“I couldn’t help but remember when J took charge of the Super Bowl entertainment and said that if we didn’t have someone inside to make decisions, things would never change. Someone on top “she wrote. “I’ve read all the terrible things people said they called him a sell-out and hated him a lot. Knowles-Lawson praised her son-in-law for not being bullied into withdrawing from the NFL deal.

“One thing I noticed about Jay is that he doesn’t let what people say bully him if he doesn’t do the things he knows are right,” she wrote. “But after the last Super Bowl, I haven’t read a comment from a person who said they were pleased that he wasn’t listening to the sound and keeping it moving, and that he was able to get three talented blacks to dominate this Years of the Super Bowl. Why is that? “

She also said it took “a lot of courage and money, blood, sweat and tears to start Tidal,” the streaming service that has also received a lot of criticism – and which is reportedly in sales pitches.

“I really try to support every black company, but so many would rather support it [rival] Apple, “wrote Knowles-Lawson.” One day I’ll pretend we’re going to stop being crabs in a barrel. We will support each other. There is room for everyone. “

That brought them to Jay-Z’s big deal, selling 50 percent of Armand de Brignac. (The financial terms of the deal announced on Monday were not disclosed, but Jay-Z knocked in Meek Mill’s 2018 song “What’s Free” that Ace of Spades, the well-known name of the champagne line, said “a half B” This suggests a 50 percent stake would be $ 250 million.)

“You are a bad ass brother and I hope you continue to pave the way for others as you have done in the past,” she wrote. “And I’ve seen such extreme kindness and generosity so many times that people don’t even know about it! You are a true man who has publicly admitted when you have made mistakes in a very courageous and noble manner!” Is the culture of young black men influenced. You’re a bad ass brother. I love you so much !! “
