The 33-year-old TV presenter started dating Kevin, 38, after they played “Strictly Come Dancing” together in 2018, and she believes lockdown helped fuel her romance.
She said, “He’s just an angel. I feel really lucky to have him. “
Stacey would have hated living alone through the health crisis.
She said, “When the lockdown started, we were in this tiny apartment and I thought, ‘We need a house.’
“So we bought the house and have a garden – and Kev is never out.
“I think if I had been single [during the lockdown]I would have been so lonely. It breaks my heart, the idea that people had to go through this on their own. “
Even so, Stacey struggles to cope with Kevin’s use of her marble table.
During an online chat on the Fane event site, she said, “Kev continues to use it and does not remove coasters. It’s stressful. “
Stacey admits that despite her happy personal life and successful television career, she is “far from perfect.”
The BBC host announced that she is determined to lead a greener lifestyle once lockdown restrictions are relaxed.
Stacey, who won ‘Strictly’ alongside Kevin in 2018, said, according to the Sunday Mirror newspaper, “I fly too much, the heater is always on, the kettle is always boiling … I really have to look how I live safely.
“When I think of sustainability, I attach great importance to fashion, so I’ve really tried to turn my back on fast-paced fashion, but that’s not enough.
“There are so many things that I do that are polluting the planet. It gives you food for thought. “
