Just weeks after their relationship first became public, rumors of an engagement followed. Big little lies Actress Shailene Woodley joined The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon Monday and confirmed that she and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers are indeed engaged. In fact, Woodley admitted that it’s strange when people are talking about it because they’ve actually been engaged for a while and no one is more surprised than Woodley himself.
“He’s just a wonderful, amazing person to start with, but I never thought I’d be engaged to someone who throws balls for a living,” said Woodley. “As a little girl, I never thought I’d say, ‘Yeah, when I grow up I’ll marry someone who – who throws balls! Yes!’ But he’s really that good at it. “
Rodgers was named the NFL’s Most Valuable Player for the 2020 season after throwing 48 touchdowns and nearly 4,300 yards in the regular season and leading his team within one Super Bowl game. Woodley’s claim that Rodgers was “just so good” at throwing football seems correct. But Woodley admits that she still has a lot to learn about the game.
“I still have to go to a soccer game. I had never seen a soccer match before I met him. I didn’t really grow up with sports, especially American sports. It was never really on my radar, ”said Woodley. “When we met I knew he was a footballer but I didn’t know what kind of footballer he was and I’m still studying.”
In fact, Woodley admitted being more familiar with Rodger’s interests outside of football than his excitement over his guest opportunity Danger!, will air from April 5th.
“I don’t know him as a footballer, I know him as the nerd who wants to be a host Danger!, You know? That’s the guy I know, ”said Woodley. “He’s just very good at sports too.”
The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon is broadcast on weekdays at 11.35 p.m. NBC.
