Sarah Michelle Gellar is officially done with Buffy The Vampire Slayer

In a recent interview on Mario Lopez’s podcast, the 43-year-old actress said she had no plans ever to return for a possible restart.

“What worked for Buffy was that the monsters represented, they were a metaphor for the horrors of youth,” Sarah shared in an interview.

“I don’t think it’s me, I don’t think I should be the one to do it,” Sarah said, adding that she is “far too tired and moody to take up this job again.”

Sarah also said in the interview that she is glad that Buffy is still popular with fans all these years later, and that she loves “that the story lasts and that the people demand it”.

Sarah’s comments come after Buffy actress Charisma Carpenter made allegations of abuse and misconduct against show artist Joss Whedon.

After Charisma went public, Sarah made a statement in support of her former co-star.

“I am currently more focused on raising my family and surviving a pandemic, so I will not make any further statements at this point,” said Sarah Mario in her new interview. “But I stand by all survivors of the abuse and I am proud that they spoke out.”

Find out more about Charisma Carpenter’s allegations. Here’s what another Buffy costar just said about the claims.
