Country musician and proud Texan Kacey Musgraves sells new goods that benefit the residents of her home state – and mercilessly trolls Ted Cruz.

The latest product for sale on the artist’s website “Golden Hour” is a plain black and white t-shirt that reads “Cruzin ‘for a Bruzin'” – a clear argument with the Texas Senator who did this week for traveling to Cancun, Mexico, with his family as a deadly winter storm ravaged the state.

Proceeds from the unisex zinger of a ringer tee will be $ 29.99 and will be donated to various organizations that help Texans affected by extremely cold temperatures, prolonged power outages, and water shortages affecting the Lone Star state plague for several days.

The Anti-Cruz shirt will be available until Sunday. The proceeds will support Feed the People Dallas, Casa Marianella, and the American Red Cross in Central and South Texas.

– KACEY (@KaceyMusgraves) February 19, 2021Petition for @tedcruz to retweet this link. A quick and easy way to help from the comfort of your home! We’re halfway to raising $ 100,000 for Texas! Come on, Ted.

“No actual bruises,” the product description reads, while Musgraves “petitioned @tedcruz to retweet” a link to the article and announced on Twitter that she was “halfway through $ 100,000 for Texas collect”.

“Texas is cold, I can be cold” Musgraves tweeted while unveiling their latest merch, riffing on lyrics from their song “Slow Burn”.

Musgraves is just one of several celebrities who recently mocked Cruz after the politician and his family were caught boarding a luxury resort on a plane on Wednesday while Texas was in crisis. Cruz has claimed that he merely got his daughters to their destination and planned to come home immediately. Upon his return on Thursday, Cruz said his family trip was “obviously a mistake”.

Other entertainers who condemned Cruz include Trevor Noah, Billy Eichner, Padma Lakshmi, George Takei, Roxane Gay, and Seth Rogen, who have held several social media spats with lawmakers in the past.

– KACEY (@KaceyMusgraves) February 18, 2021* makes “CRUZIN FOR A BRUZIN” t-shirts
* donates profits to needy Texans

– Ashley Nicole Black (@ ashleyn1cole) February 18, 2021I’m sorry, but if you’ve never taken your kids to Cancun for a game date during a pandemic and humanitarian crisis in your home state, it’s likely because you’re just a liberal Hollywood elitist with no values.

– Padma Lakshmi (@PadmaLakshmi) February 18, 2021Not only did Cruz leave his state during a storm that left millions of people without water or electricity because the government failed.

– let the police accelerate through the airport
– blamed his children for the flight
– his return trip rescheduled
– lied about it

– Padma Lakshmi (@PadmaLakshmi) February 18, 2021If you wanted to be a good father @tedcruz They would not have spread the big lie and caused an armed riot in the Capitol that killed 5 people and injured 140 police officers.

And based on your luggage in these pictures, you had absolutely no intention of simply “accompanying” your family.

– Patton Oswalt (@pattonoswalt) February 18, 2021If all you wanted to do was hand over your daughter, why the huge suitcase? And don’t you have to wait 72 hours to confirm a negative COVID test result before flying back?

– Gay Roxane (@rgay) February 18, 2021His statement is funny. I wonder how long it took to invent this story. Wear a Texas flag mask on the way home too? Politics is a dirty, cynical business.

– George Takei (@GeorgeTakei) February 19, 2021Ted Cruz, who escapes with his family after two days of hardship, still has no empathy for migrants who have escaped years of war, famine and terror.

– Natalie Morales (@nataliemorales) February 18, 2021It’s hard to imagine someone more embarrassing than Ted Cruz in every way

– billy eichner (@billyeichner) February 19, 2021This could seriously be the most honest and vulnerable I have ever seen on this app
