Prince William is reportedly unhappy with the way his brother Prince Harry reacted to Queen Elizabeth’s announcement that Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have officially stepped down from their royal roles.
The Duke of Cambridge, 38, is “really sad and genuinely shocked” by his brother’s behavior, according to a report The Sunday Times.
A statement released by Buckingham Palace on Friday confirmed that Harry, 36, and Meghan, 39, will not be returning as working royals. The announcement came just over a year after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex first shared their plans to step down, which came with a year-long review period. As part of the resignation, they will no longer retain their patronage (their royal involvement with numerous UK charities).
“After discussions with the Duke, the Queen confirmed in writing that it is not possible to continue the responsibilities and duties associated with a life in public service by withdrawing from the work of the royal family,” it says in the declaration of the palace.
