NYC hardcore trio Show Me The Body has announced details of a new EP called "Survive".

The ‘Survive’ EP is slated for release on March 19th via Loma Vista and follows their 2019 album ‘Dog Whistle’.

The band said of the new EP: “During this isolation we had to recalibrate. Recalibrate how we exist as a band and how we cultivate power in our community. Our live performance is not just a moment for us, it is our weapon, our language and our ceremony. Without them, we had to reconfigure how we interact with our community. “

During the pandemic, the band set up a headquarters for their CORPUS community and explained: “With our team we founded CORPUS Family, a branch of CORPUS that focuses on community initiatives. Burning World Book Club, a clothing promotion and a studio residence. We prepare CORPUS self-defense initiatives and open jam sessions as soon as security allows.

“We built a studio in our headquarters. Survive is the first project that was written and recorded from top to bottom in the CORPUS studio. The songs are about mental and physical isolation, as well as staying ready and preparing for the next time we get together. “

NME reviewed Show Me The Body’s 2019 album ‘Dog Whistle’ and wrote, “’Dog Whistle’ is at its core a commitment to the community, friends and family at the heart of Show Me The Body and its art collective

“’Dog Whistle’ is a manifesto for everything the early days of Show Me The Body promise. “Body War” was their chaotic opening game, a stick of dynamite at the base of the established order. Now the bands are building something better together. “
