The abuse allegations against Marilyn Manson took a new turn when the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department stepped on the case.
“The Los Angeles County’s Department of the Sheriff’s Special Victims Bureau is investigating allegations of domestic violence involving Brian Warner, also known as” Marilyn Manson, “who works in the music industry,” the department said in an e- mail to diversity. “The incidents occurred between 2009 and 2011 while Mr. Warner was living in the city of West Hollywood.”

Earlier this month, actor, singer and activist Evan Rachel Wood alleged that Marilyn Manson “abused her terribly for years when they were in a relationship.”
“I’m here to expose this dangerous man and explore the many industries that have empowered him before he ruins more lives. I stand by the many victims who will no longer be silent, “Wood wrote in an Instagram post.
Hours after Woods Post, Loma Vista Recordings dropped Manson from their label.
“Given today’s troubling allegations by Evan Rachel Wood and other women naming Marilyn Manson as their abuser, Loma Vista will stop promoting its current album with immediate effect,” Loma Vista said in a statement. “Because of these developments, we have also decided not to work with Marilyn Manson on future projects.”
CAA followed suit.
Responding to Wood’s claims, Manson said, “My intimate relationships with like-minded partners have always been entirely consensual. Regardless of how – and why – others now choose to misrepresent the past, that is the truth. “
California Senator Susan Rubio has written to the FBI director asking him to investigate the allegations against Manson. Wood posted the letter on her Instagram page.
diversity has asked Manson’s representative for comment.
