Jason Bateman appeared from Jennifer Aniston's house as part of the Golden Globes virtual ceremony last night (February 28)

The actress, named for best performance by an actor on a television series – Drama for Ozark, was exposed as in her own home by Aniston herself.

The Friends star recorded her Instagram stories and shared a series of pictures of him at their house with his daughters as he sat in front of a laptop.

“Bateman came over and brought the @goldenglobes,” she signed a picture while pointing to a foreground photo of herself and her father.

“My color by numbers has finally found its calling,” she added in a video of Bateman watching the opening monologue from hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.

While Bateman asks if they are each in the same city – the two have hosted from different sides of the country – Aniston is heard say, “focus focus”.

She concluded the series with a picture of the crew that made the performance possible and remarked, “It takes a village”.

Bateman didn’t win his category in the end, losing to Josh O’Connor for The Crown.

The Crown was the big winner in the TV categories of the evening and won the best TV series – drama in addition to the acting victories for O’Connor, Emma Corrin and Gillian Anderson. Schitt’s Creek and The Queen’s Gambit also scored multiple victories.

In terms of film, the big winners were Nomadland, Borat Subsequent Moviefilm and Soul, with the former also making history with a win as best director for Chloé Zhao, who was only the second woman to win the award.
