According to the British newspaper The Sun, the Mamma Mia! Star is concerned that he has been “targeted” because of the amount of vehicles he has stolen. The 1978 Ferrari Dino 308 GT4 – valued at around $ 116,000 (£ 83,000) – is the fourth of its cars to be stolen last year.
“To say Dom is devastated is an understatement,” a source told the publication. “It’s an extremely rare car and it was his precious possession. He now lives in fear, having driven four cars in just a few months and feeling like he is being targeted. He’s a bit concerned and wondering if the cars are worth it.
“He’s a bit of a gasoline head, so it’s not just the money, it’s just how special the car was to him.”
Cooper asked his neighbors in posh Primrose Hill, London, to look for the stolen car in a post on a local online forum.
“Please be careful. 1978 Dino stolen. Please keep yourself and your parts safe, hopefully the number of break-ins and thefts in our neighborhood will eventually decrease, “he wrote.
The Ferrari theft comes after Cooper stole a classic Austin-Healey, a Range Rover, and an open Jaguar F-Type coupe last year.
