The model appeared on earlier this month The Ellen DeGeneres Show and talked about how her pregnancy loss was a “transformative” experience for her.
DeGeneres called Teigen “super brave” for sharing the “raw” photos from the hospital after losing the pregnancy, which the star now said “seems so long ago”.
“Even if I think back to it now, I’m still in therapy and I can still handle it,” said Teigen. “I have maternity clothes and there are things I bought for my eighth and ninth months. So it’s just hard because he would have been born this week, so check out those things and you have these constant reminders.”
At the same time, Teigen said it was “really helpful” that she “grew up in a household that was very open to loss” as it helped her think about how it could be “a nice thing”.

“It was so nice to see my children the way they talk about him,” said Teigen. “We’re going to the beach or something and they’re going to say, ‘Is Baby Jack with us right now? Do you think he’s up in the clouds?’ It’s just so beautiful and so cute. “
“Of course,” said Teigen of Jack’s loss, “never imagine it happening to you – I think that was the crazy part for me:” I hear these stories about other people. Such things don’t happen to me. ‘ If so, you’re just so shocked. “
“And then you think about all the people who go through it in silence and you get really sad for them. Ours was so public, so many people supported us so,” she added. “You really gain an incredible amount of empathy. And I really kind of think I’m a better person now. And I just have the best support system ever.”
