Chip and Joanna Gaines were among the business owners hit by winter storm Uri. The couple’s Magnolia Table Restaurant was flooded when a pipe broke during the brutal Texas storm. Chip shared a video of the damage and announced that the couple’s Magnolia Foundation created Texas Forever to help others during uncertain times.

“Whether you heard about it on the news or lived in the middle of it, you know Texas was hard hit by winter storm Uri. Families and individuals around the world are facing the aftermath of a storm like we have never done before . ” seen “the Fixer Upper: Welcome home Star has given the video a title. “Here in Waco, we opened the doors to a broken pipe that flooded our restaurant. But we know the same story is going on across the state and so many people are facing far worse.”

Chip included a link to the website where people can contribute to those in need. He announced that Magnolia would donate $ 100,000.

“We can work to change what will happen to many of these people tomorrow,” he added. “Let’s do something good today.”

One hundred percent of contributions go to Habitat Texas, according to Magnolia’s website: Disaster Relief Services, Feeding Texas, and Mission Waco.

“These groups have already taken the first steps to provide immediate relief to communities across the state and are committed to long-term recovery and recovery efforts locally and across the state,” it said. “The best way to help our neighbors here in Texas is to bandage arms and continue the good work that has already begun.”

Many celebrities have rushed to help needy Texans.

Texas-born country star Kacey Musgraves sold t-shirts – at Senator Ted Cruz’s expense – with proceeds donated to various organizations. Matthew McConaughey and NFL star Dak Prescott donated OurCalling to help people at a thermal center in downtown Dallas. Beyoncé Knowles-Carter’s BeyGOOD Foundation has partnered with Adidas and Houston’s Bread of Life disaster relief organization to distribute water and hot meals to 8,000 people affected by the recent winter storm.
