Black honey dropped a new song, Disinfect

According to Believer, the title is reminiscent of the current state of the world through politically charged lyrics and a crashing refrain.

It is the latest preview of the Brighton band’s upcoming LP ‘Written & Directed’ which will be released on March 19th via Foxfive Records. Singer Izzy B. Phillips said:

“Disinfecting for me is like watching the school bus burn down. We wrote it before the pandemic, but it feels like a premonition of things to come. “

On the accompanying video, directed by Craig Hemming, she added, “The video is a comment, I love collages and this is like looking at our reality in a mirror … it’s really honest.”

The foursome will go on a small headline tour in September. They also play a socially distant London show in June.
