Anne Hathaway Says Ninth Pick for Devil Wear’s Prada Role: “Never Give Up”

Anne Hathaway is a tough cookie when it comes to the acting industry.

Hathaway, 38, who struggled to get her share of the 2006 comedy drama The devil Wears Prada, revealed during an appearance on Friday RuPaul’s Drag Race that she was ninth for the role of Andy Sachs alongside Meryl Streep in the fashion film.

Candidate Rosé asked Hathaway if there were roles for which she had to “fight with teeth and nails”, to which she jokingly replied: “How much time do you have?”

Hathaway then remembered the moment she found out she had got the part.

“I put on a shirt,” she said. “I had some buddies over there. I remember running into my living room half-dressed and screaming – I did The devil Wears Prada! I have The devil Wears Prada! “
