The stage show, which was a hit on Broadway, features an original score by Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda and Pulitzer Prize-winning Tom Kitt. Miranda wrote the lyrics with Amanda Green.

The book was written by Jeff Whitty, author of the Avenue Q adult puppet show.

The show is based on the 2000 film, which featured Kirsten Dunst, Eliza Dushku, and Gabrielle Union as competitive cheerleaders.

In the music version, Davies will star as Campbell, the newly crowned captain of the Cheer Squad, who is moving to a new school and fears that her cheerleading days will be over until they form an unlikely friendship.

Tickets to the Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall will go on sale Friday March 5th.
